Dr. Nathan Kelley

PT, DPT

Dr. Nathan Kelley, PT, DPT is a 2022 Duke University graduate who grew up in Eden. After earning his bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science with a concentration in physiology from UNC Pembroke in 2019, he continued his education at Duke University – earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Nathan has special interests in orthopedics, neurological conditions, Nathan Kelley, DPT is a 2022 Duke University graduate who grew up in Eden. After earning his bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science with a concentration in Physiology from UNC Pembroke in 2019, he continued his education at Duke University – earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Nathan has special interests in orthopedics, neurological conditions, pediatrics and sports therapy. Passionate about supporting his local community, specifically the children that reside here. Nathan serves as Vice President with the Boys and Girls Club of Eden. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah and his daughter, Ellie and being a foster parent to his other children.

Dr. Caroline Harris

Dr. Caroline Harris is a physical therapist with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy obtained from Elon University. In 2018, Caroline obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from UNC Charlotte. Caroline has special interests in sports rehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation. Caroline is an Eden native who loves serving her hometown community. When not working, Caroline enjoys remaining active through various fitness activities with her family and friends.

Mattie Purgason

Office Manager

Mattie is a born and raised North Carolina girl. She graduated from Rockingham Community College in spring of 2023 with an associates degree in applied science with focus in business administration. She is a Jesus loving, family oriented, and social gal. When she is not working she enjoys playing with her blonde Labrador Retriever, Hallie Rae, and loves to go shopping.

Dr. Debbie Dabbs

PT, DPT, M. Ed

Debbie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Master of Education degree from the University of Georgia. After teaching Health and Physical Education for 7 years, she then received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Winston-Salem State University followed by her transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. She has worked in a variety of settings in physical therapy including acute care, outpatient, nursing home, and spent many years providing home health services in Rockingham County. Along with her physical therapy career, she frequently teaches tumbling and sport-specific skills to children of all ages as well as provides personal training. As a former collegiate gymnast and cheerleader at the University of Georgia, her passion is skill development and functional physical therapy. Other than her strong passion for work, Debbie enjoys traveling with her husband, Dr. John Dabbs, and celebrating all seasons of life with her twin boys, Will and Tyler, daughter-in-law Peyton with Baby Dabbs on the way, and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Sophie. Her twin boys are graduates of NC State University, where they played 4 years of college football. Tyler currently works for Arthrex selling orthopedic medical devices, and Will is in his third year of medical school at UNC Chapel Hill and is getting married in June 2025.

Faith Robertson

PT Tech

Faith is currently a student at Rockingham Community College, after getting her associates she plans to transfer to Guilford college to finish out her major. She plans to major in Exercise and Sports science with a minor in coaching. She is expected to graduate in 2027. Outside of work she enjoys working out at CrossFit Echo and spending time with friends and family.

Emma Phipps

Physical Therapist Assistant

Emma Phipps is a Physical Therapist Assistant that pursued all studies at Surry Community College. She fell in love with this compassion focused career after receiving Physical Therapy in high school after a bad car accident that left her unable to compete in sports. Her passions currently involve pediatrics, myofascial release, and post surgical rehab. When not at Protherapy, you can find her riding horses, hiking with her dogs, and supporting her husband Zach’s golf endeavors. She loves to serve, and her goal is to bring smiles to all!

Logan Swain

Former Office Manager, currently in PT school

Logan is a Rockingham County native from Madison. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a Fitness Professional concentration along with a minor in Coaching Education. Logan plans to attend physical therapy school in 2024. Outside of work, Logan is assistant cheerleading coach at McMichael High School and enjoys cooking, baking, and traveling.
